In case you’ve missed it, I’m starting to blog….alot. When I started my first company, Platinum Concepts (aka MouseDriver), I’d blog all the time. Except that blogging didn’t really exist at the time…at least not like it does now. My blogging was pretty much me keeping notes in a Word document and then occasionally sending an email out to all of our MouseDriver Insider subscribers. ‘Blogging’ was easy for me and I found it incredibly therapeutic. It had the same calming effect on me as playing soccer. In a sense, it was a way for me to create my own therapy session.
My experience with Rivet & Sway has filled my head with so many thoughts and ideas. Some are more business related while others are more ‘life’ and ‘experience’ related. Regardless, I’ve got a boatload of things going in my head right now, so I’m going to start writing them down. I’ll post as many of these thoughts as I can, while others will most likely go into notepad for future reference. And who knows, maybe the result of posting all of these idea will be another book. I can’t promise The MouseDriver Chronicles, but I’m certain I still have it in me!
On that note, I’ve included a summary of the different posts that have gone up in the last week for anybody who may have missed them. Moving forward, I’m hoping to include a number of different articles in this summary, including those written by others that I’ve found relevant or interesting.
- The Value of Measuring Net Promoter Score: Talks about how this crucial metric can help companies better understand how their customers perceive them.
- Google, Microsoft, or Apple?: My plea to others to provide feedback on their experience with each as a single technology platform.
- How to Define and Use Paid, Earned and Owned Media?: I talk about my experiences in leveraging these different channels to accelerate revenue growth.
- How Quickly Are You Finding Your First Customers?: One of the mistakes I’ve made in the past is being too afraid to spend $$ finding those first customers…and why I’ll never make that mistake again.
- The Family Entrepreneur: If you’re thinking about starting a company, you’ll want to check out this short post. Don’t start a company unless you have a strong support system in place!
